Apps & Services: Fring
by Nseries Workshop
Fring lets you access your favorite chat programs like Skype, MSN Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ, SIP, Twitter, Yahoo! and AIM using your Nseries device. Check out the latest version of this popular app.
With Fring, you can chat live with friends and make calls through the internet. Your chat and phonebook contacts are integrated into one searchable buddy list, allowing you to see who’s online before dialing. And Fring finds WiFi hotspots automatically, so you can bypass having to configure your access points each time you change locations.
The latest version of Fring allows you to swap music, pictures, video clips and other files over WiFi or 3G from mobile to mobile and mobile to PC. Right now the file transfer works only on Fring to Fring, Fring to MSN and vice versa, but more services are in development.
Fing is available in multiple languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Chinese. If you come across any issues while using the application, the Fring site offers a comprehensive support section with tips about installation and usage. You can share your experience and find out about bug issues others are having on the international Fring blogs.
